1. That fear of losing the possibility of a long term bond motivates new couples as much as sexual attraction.
2. That it's much tougher to tell who a woman is interested in (and not interested in) than it is to interpret a man's interest
3. That when women speed daters do the moving from table to table, they are much more interested in every man they meet; the same is true for men. Apparently, putting yourself out there and making the first approach promotes bonding.
4. That the more men there are to choose from, the pickier women get (in the animal world it is just the opposite: the more potential mates available, the more the female goes at it!)
5. That men are mostly motivated (initially, at least) by physical attractiveness (but we knew that).
